Description

It is skin test used to determine presence of immune response to TB bacteria. Test is used screening test to detect infection by Tuberculosis bacteria. Minute amount of PPD (purified protein derivative) of TB bactertia is injected into forearm and after 48 to 72 hrs skin reaction at site of injection is moted and reported as positive or negative.
