Description
Bilirubin (Total ,direct, indirect): Test measures level of bilirubin in blood, which is yellowish substance produced as by produce of RBCs break down(old & damaged). Bilirubin pass through liver & eventually excreted out of body. Higher than normal levels indicates different types of liver/ bile duct problems. occasionally higher billirubin levels may be caused by increased rate of destruction of RBCs (hemolysis) so test gives idea about functioning of liver or some other blood related disorders.
