Description
Test measures amount as LDH (Lactate dehydrogenase) level in blood. LDH is enzyme found in almost every cell of body, with high concentration in heart muscle, blood, brain, kidneys etc. So whwn any of these cells are damaged, LDH enzyme is released into blood , raising blood level of LDH. So it is used to screen for tissue damage-heart failure,lung/liver disease, anaemia etc.
